Day 18 - I need a GPS

well, my directionally challenged gene is realy hindering me here. i tried to go to the other gym today (my gym has two locations). I've been going to the one in Voorburg (closer to work), but there's one in Ypenburg (closer to home) that is bigger and has a pool. so i went to go check that one out and about an hour later finally gave up and found my way home. i will be getting a GPS.

This afternoon a fellow fugro venturian robin villa stopped by my office to arrange his ride to the train station. he's in town for the big-wig meetings. we chatted for awhile with Adriaan about many work-related things. robin is quite impressed by the bag of lightweight aggregate in my office.

ive decided to enroll in some dutch classes. hopefully i'll start next week. i want to try to learn the native langue. even a basic knowledge would be really beneficial. everyone is so kind here to speak english when i'm around, so i want to show that i'm trying.

as i was walking into my building i remembered about the elevator note!!! bummer -- no response. maybe he didnt see it? its hard to say. i'll leave it up for a few more days, and if still nothing, i'll take it down in defeat.

spent most of the night on the web researching my last minute decision trip to brussels. i know why travel agents exist. there is so much crap to sift through before you get any good info. decided last minute i would go this weekend. booked a hostel for tomorrow night. will leave in the afternoon, right after the Sinterklaas parade :)
